You’ve worked hard and spent marketing budget to get a potential new customer to opt in to your lead generation report or product sample. And that’s it, your company expects the potential new customer that they will buy right away and then nothing happens. Now companies are puzzled “we are doing marketing and advertising but no one is buying anything!”

Here’s the reality of how people act – They are not ALL ready to buy as soon as your marketing message hits them. They have life’s and have all sorts of things that are more important. Think about all the things people get distracted with. Work, Family and family crisis’s, kids, vacations, there work or businesses activities.

They get busy with life and forget about your product and services. Have you ever ordered something off of Amazon.com and a couple of days later a box shows up at your door step and when you look at it say “What is this I didn’t order anything. You must follow up with a new contact and remind them of your existence. If you do not do this when they are ready to buy it won’t be your product or service they purchase it will be the first business to put the product in front of them not yours.

Especially if you did lead generation properly and they opted in to your ads and marketing which means they are buyers. No one is going to opt in to a offer for more information if there not thinking of buying it!

After your prospect receives there report by email or direct mail you must send them an email/direct mail thanking them for receiving the report. Going over the benefit points they learned in the report.

Then after this you must make a time limited offer if they buy the product before let’s say your time limit is Sunday night at Midnight you will throw in a bonus product absolutely free. This gets people to buy. Then 1 more step the people who havn’t bought yet you email/send them a reminder that the offer is expiring on Sunday at midnight and not to miss out. And give them another chance to buy.
